Meditation Group
There are various forms of meditation, from the philosophy of a lifestyle to the rare oppurtunity of 'a bit of peace and quiet' away from the hectic pace and demands of todays world.
There are those that focus on the nothing to restore harmony to body and mind, and there are those that absorb themselves totally in focussing on something, in order to achieve personal contentment.
This meditation group, is run to experience different ways of contemplating the self in order to achieve a greater sense of wellbeing and knowledge for the inner self.
in knowing the self we can be more aware of our creative interactions with the outside world, sometimes changing patterns of reaction so that we think and feel differently to what is presented to us, therby giving us choices in our responses.
The benefits can be huge, a healthier mind and body, a deeper sense of self, a chance to be more in control of our thoughts, emotions and patterns of behaviour.
Meditation can free the mind, and therefore can remove limitations in life. A chance to be yourself, a chance to think, or not think, as you choose. An opputunity to let time pass by and let troubles drift away.
A variety of methods are tried in this group, including guided visualisation, mantras and quiet reflection. As well a techniques for journeying, gaining knowledge and experiencing the self.
The group is supportive of feedback and experiences if participants choose to share.
